Fall Decor

I am ALOT late on my fall decorations but I really wanted to get the blog post out.

Quick update on us: We moved to Vancouver, Washington in the middle of September. We moved in with our cousin Savannah, her boyfriend Brian, and our brother in law Jack. We have my dog Kiski still and our cat Taylor, we also have Savannah's doberman pincher Lucian and her cat Snow... so that's... lets count.... 9 mouths to feed in our decently sized 3 bedroom house! We love it. Our house is just big enough for all of us to have our own space and not feel claustrophobic.

For work I do marketing and customer service for a local Bread/Bakery company, its amazing; I love it so much and I am happy with everyone that works there.

Zack is pretty much liking his job as a recruiter. Hes doing so good and i'm so happy for him. He works a lot of hours right now, I never get to see him but that's what it takes to be a recruiters wife. At least for the next year he will work a ton of hours but I get to eat dinner every night with him, even if its at 9 or 10 pm and I get to cuddle with him every night, so i'm not complaining :)

We're doing really well here. It snowed the other day which was cool, and today it was 25* so its a bit cold but our home is warm and cozy so I try to stay indoors :D

Now for the decor:

Fall Lanterns
What you need:
- string of light 100 bulb lights
-sissors
-Gorilla tape.
-Ellen on your TV
(As seen in the pictures, I used electrical tape... doesnt work to well so I had to go back and tape Gorilla tape over the other tape.

Time it takes to complete this craft is the same time it takes to
watch an episode of Ellen on the DVR :)

This is the top of the inside all taped up looks like. The easiest way
I found was detaching all the sides, start at the top of the
lantern and work your way down.

Add fall leaves and a pine cone or two. I got mine in the clearance
section of my local craft store. Lights were on sale for $4 and the
fall leaves were on clearance for $3 so this hole craft cost me about $15 to do both lanterns

Added both of them to our book shelf and it looks fantastic if I do say so myself

OUR HALLOWEEN PARTY:

Dirt cups: Chocolate pudding, Oreo crust crumbles, and
gummy worms. I wrote on the cups sayings like "Boo!"
"trick or treat" "R.I.P" and "Happy Halloween"

Mummy weenies- Hot dogs cut in half, croissant wrapped around the
weenie like a mummy. cook in the oven on 350* for like 15-20
(until the croissant is golden brown)

Homemade bagel bits:
mini bagels, your favorite spaghetti sauce, cheese, pepperonis,
and olives. I cut the pepperonis into a smaller circle and
put olives on top so they look like a face
screaming... creepy huh?
Cooked them on 350* for 15-20 mins, until
cheese is cooked on top

Cupcakes from the store and the $1 store cupcake display

Punch: Hawaiian punch, orange sherbet, and eye balls that we got
from the $1 store too.

My Ariel pumpkin

After I painted them, they looked a million times better

 Everyones pumpkins :)

Turkey day crafts:

Our nana made these cute turkeys with nuts, foe leaves, and
a few googly eyes

Our Aunt made this paper wreath. Multi-color paper, calligraphy pen,
and needle pins. Pin all the cut out leaves onto a Styrofoam wreath,
write about 20 thing you are thankful for around
the middle of the wreath.

Love you all,

Pizza bites

We got a Fry daddy from my friend a few months back and I absolutely love that thing. We loved going to Buffalo Wild Wings but it cost a lot of money to go, so this is the easiest way to get good wings. At the commissary 12 wings cost around $3, potatoes and a mix of gravy cost a little more than $1.50 and we have tons of different flavor BBQ sauce. We have a hole meal for under $5; you cant even get an appetizer for under $5, plus since we use fresh oil to make the wings.... the wings taste so much better :)

I was telling this to my friend the other day because we were having wings at her house and they asked if we ever put Pizza Rolls in the fry daddy

  MIND BLOWN!!!!

So for lunch the other day I made them for Zack. He loved them... it taste like pizza sticks that you get at the gas station here on base.

All I did was pre-heat the fryer for about 8-10 mins, put 12 rolls in the microwave for a minute just to defrost them, and then put them into the fryer for about a minute (until they turn a nice golden color). Take them out of the cooker as fast as you can because they cook really fast, put them on paper towels to remove the excess grease and WA-LA a quick lunch or snack :)

Yea its unhealthy but its beats going to McDonalds or another fast food restaurant and spending $10 for one lunch :) Just eat a salad after then go to the gym :p

Love you all,

25th Birthday Tea party!

A few months after I got to NJ it was Christmas. I was helping my Aunt take all the Christmas China from the cabinet; That's when I found the most beautiful tea set I've seen. That's when I decided to have a tea party for my 25th birthday. I started to look on pinterest and other tea party websites. this is what I came up with:

This is the main food table

This is the other table in the living room

My theme was rose color and a hint of Alice and Wonderland. The picture above, I bought Alice in Wonderland paper from the original book, door knob and key hole, the heart keys, and the aged cards I got off of Etsy.

The beautiful invitations I got off of zazzle

Napkins:
Broach I got off Etsy.

Bar pins I got at Michaels

Hot glued the pins onto the back of the broaches

Rolled up the rose colored napkins I got off Amazon and
pinned on the broaches

I made about 10 of them

Table Cloth:
I bought Rose color solid table cloth and then put
a white lace cloth on top.

 Chairs:
I bought bows like you see at weddings; added the perfect pop to the chairs.

Strawberry Pizza:

Oil the bottom of the cupcake pan. Put a small ball
of sugar cookie and cook for about 5-7mins but
be sure to check frequently cause it burns fast

Cut strawberries small, add sugar and put in the fridge for 24hrs
(optional)

add strawberry cream cheese, and the sugar covered
strawberries on top. Taste sooo good

Banana Pudding:
I found little appetizer cups and spoons at Party city.
Crumble pie crust, add a few thinly sliced bananas, then vanilla pudding,
then a few sprinkles of crust for the top. yum!

7 layer dip:
Bought tumblers at the store, perfect size for
individual portions of dip.
1. refried beans 2. guacamole 3. sour cream 4. salsa 5. grated cheese 6. olives 7. tomatoes

Cucumber sandwiches:
In FL there is this grocery store called Publix. They make this bread
called Rainbow bread for back to school. Its just italian bread
with food die. we used cookie cutters to make flowers and butterflies.
inside is cucumber slices, mayo, cream cheese and garlic salt.

Other appetizers we made were croissants, strawberry butter, cupcakes, Pillsbury strawberry lemonade cookies, Pinwheels, chips, salsa, fruit, veggies, and tea

Strawberry butter:
   - Stick of room temp butter
   - strawberry preserve

mix the two together and wa-la strawberry jelly which tastes amazing on warm croissants

Here is more pictures of the layout :)

lamp shades (David Tutera), candle holders, tooth picks, and lanterns I got off of Amazon.

Alice in wonderland Tea cup and saucer:
take a porcelain cup and saucer and draw on the dish with sharpies. put the dish in the oven and set the oven for 350* for 30mins. when the timer goes off turn off the oven and allow them to cool with the oven. now the markers are baked onto the glass. hand wash only to make the colors last :)

 Love you all,
